Covid-19 Update
Dear Parents/Carer
We want to reassure you that the school continues to update itself with information from Public Health England with regards to the ongoing Coronavirus situation and we are following their advice and guidance accordingly. At the moment, the advice following the Government’s COBRA meeting yesterday is that schools carry on operating as normal and remain open – the only circumstance in which this would change is if the school were directed to close by Public Health England or the Government.
Parents are advised that if their children have a new, continuous cough or a high temperature, which is more than 37.8oC, they should stay at home for 7 days from when those symptoms began. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you are staying at home. You should continue to seek advice from the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
The school continues to take preventative measures including the use of hand sanitizer and encouraging students and staff to wash their hands regularly. Trips have been cancelled.
Contingency plans are in place, if at any point the guidance and direction referred to above should change. This will include plans for supporting students in home based learning. All details regarding this will be communicated to you if and when necessary.
We thank you for your continued support during these challenging times.
Yours faithfully
Stuart Wetson
