Year 11 Results Day
Dear Students
As the summer term progresses, we are gradually receiving more information and guidance regarding this year’s results days and how this will be prepared. It has also been announced that an exam series in the Autumn term, November for GCSE’s, will go ahead in order to provide an opportunity to sit an exam should you be disappointed with any grade achieved this summer. Information regarding entry deadline etc will be within your results pack.
GCSE results day is still going ahead on the original release date of Thursday 20th August. You will be able to arrive at the school from 9am and 12pm.
However, this will look different from previous years due to the current climate as we must consider the current social distancing guidelines set by the Government, especially when hosting such an important day.
To maintain safe social distancing, we are implementing the following safety measures;
- Implementing a one-way system that also ensures you are given the opportunity to talk to the relevant staff about any queries or questions you may have about your results.
- Providing hand sanitiser upon your arrival as well as on desks within the hall.
- Socially distanced queuing system in the main hall, with entry from the door at rear of hall and exit via reception.
What we need from you:
If you are unable to attend but a friend or relative is able to collect your results for you, we will require a signed, written permission slip from the student, detailing the name of who will be collecting and for them to bring photo ID as well.
If either of the above options are not suitable for you, then please email me at:
ATasker@st-maryshigh.hereford.sch.uk by Friday 31st July 2020 to make alternative arrangements.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs A Tasker
Examinations Officer
*It is our intention to hold Presentation Evening Thursday 12th November 2020, details to be confirmed nearer the time.
