Match report: Year 11 A Boys Football v Queen Elizabeth, Bromyard
The Year 11 Boys Football team produced a statement win against Queen Elizabeth, Bromyard tonight, which puts St Mary’s in a very strong position for qualification for the County finals at Edgar Street. The game plan was to put in a big performance with plenty of goals, as the situation is complicated by the fact that following a 2-2 draw with John Masefield High School earlier in the term, JMHS can still go through if they better our score. Fingers crossed we have done enough tonight.
St Mary’s hit the ground running, and scored within the first 5 minutes, and went in at the break 9-1 up. We were probably not quite as clinical as we could have been in the second half, but 4 further goals followed to leave the final score 13-1. For the record, centre forward, Marco G, scored an amazing 6 goals, and his strike partner and captain, Kacper L, bagged a brace, as did Jack C, with one apiece for Fin G, Will G and Reuben T.
