Peripatetic Music Lessons
Peripatetic Music Lessons
At St Mary’s we have a fantastic team of peripatetic music teachers who deliver instrumental lessons every week. Lessons run throughout the school day, but times rotate so that students do not miss the same subject lesson more than once in a half term. Lessons can be individual or in groups, for 20 or 30 minutes per week.
Students really enjoy their weekly one to one lessons, learning to play music that they enjoy on their instruments. Many pupils work towards graded exams, but some also just play for their own enjoyment.

The Herefordshire Music Fund
If your child is interested in learning to play an instrument or to sing but money is tight, don’t let them miss out! The Herefordshire Music Fund (a registered charity) offers bursaries to support music lessons. The Fund’s Trustees are aware that families with incomes just above the threshold for Government support can also struggle to afford music lessons and encourage all to apply.
